I hope they don’t use that overly-cautious autonomous technology we’ve been seeing everywhere else. There’s nothing more infuriating as a pedestrian than an indecisive driver in NYC. Cars should never slow down for waiting pedestrians, and should always shoot through minuscule gaps in pedestrian traffic. As pedestrians, we expect the car to act quickly and decisively so we can time our walking speed to just barely avoid contact.
